Alexander Wang Rocco Bag

Today's topic is on one of the most popular and up-coming brand (in my opinion), the Alexander Wang Rocco bag. I want to give a review on this bag to help those of you who are interested in purchasing this bag and somehow ended on my blog! Alexander Wang bags are most know for their excessive but beautiful studs on the bottom of their bags. The most classic bag is the Rocco/Rockie bag, Rocco is the larger version and Rockie is the smaller version. They come in 2 skin textures, pebbled which is a more bold and bubbly texture and soft versions, which has a more fine and elegant texture. I think what is very exciting about Wang bags is that they offer many combinations of texture/color and hardware. Ex: Black Pebbled with Rosegold, Cream Pebbled with Matte Black Hardware...etc

Different Textures (both are Rocco): Pebbled vs. Soft

Rocco Pebbled Black

Rocco Soft Black

Size Specs:
Rocco (Large)
13.5"L x 9.25"H x 9.25"W

Rockie (Small)
10"L x 7.5"H x 7.5"W
Rockie Pebbled
Both bag are made of 100% lamb skin and features 4" handle drop and 21" shoulder strap. They are only about 2 inches in difference but the Rocco bag does hold a lot more, one thing to mention is that the Rockie bag has a curved zipper which opens up like a flap which I thought was a genius design. It makes accessing the bag easier without compromise due to the size of the bag.

My thoughts of this bag:
I personally own the large version Rocco bag with Rosegold and I have been using it every day for about 3 months now. I think it's an extremely beautiful bag, the metal studs are just stunning, it is the only black bag I own (I love colors, all my bags are bright colors) but I am ok with it being black because the studs stand out a lot. It can hold a lot of stuff and has these 2 side pockets that I absolutely love and think it should be on all bags, I put my keys in there so I don't have to spend 5 minute fishing it out from my bag everytime!
It has a more affordable price compared to other major brands, Rocco go for just under $1000 CAD, Rockie I think just under $900 CAD. It is my everyday bag for winter or if I know I am going somewhere I might get my bag dirty. This would be my go to bag if I don't want to use my more expensive bag and also it does have a more durable finish. The only and probably the most annoying downside is that the bag is very heavy because of all the metal is has! I can't carry this bag on my arm for long, the shoulder strap is a must and I am thankful they don't charge extra for the strap like LV does! Whew~
I also did a review on youtube, feel free to have a look and let me know any questions and comments on this bag!
